J. Machir Stull is a commercial restructuring business law, and business litigation attorney, particularly in the energy and real estate sectors. In addition to his experience in commercial or restructuring-related claims, disputes and adversary proceedings, Machir has also represented debtors, various creditor constituencies, committees, directors and postconfirmation trustees. Machir previously worked as an associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, both on the transactional and litigation sides of corporate restructuring.

Machir formerly worked with both the Texas Public Policy Foundation and the George W. Bush Institute, the public policy wing of the George W. Bush Presidential Library. Machir’s role at the Bush Institute included policy analysis, research and program management. With a unique understanding of the intersection of government, law and public policy, Machir’s experience offers clients a unique blend of informed analysis, risk mitigation and good business judgment.
