Klement joins Cantey Hanger as associate attorney

DALLAS, TX — Christopher Klement has joined Cantey Hanger, LLP law firm as an associate. His focus will be on bankruptcy and general civil litigation.

Klement spent the last two years as corporate counsel for ViewPoint Bank, where he advised senior management on operating within applicable state and federal law, and helped to identify, analyze and offer solutions to legal issues arising from various bank activities.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of North Texas and his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2013. At Dedman, he was selected as a member of the Order of the Barristers and as the Best Graduating Advocate. He won SMU’s Howie Sweeney Moot Court Competition and was a semifinalist in the Moot Court National Championship competition. Twice he was voted Best Speaker during SMU’s Voir Dire competitions.

In the community, Klement is an advisory board member to the Emmett J. Conrad High School Academies and an off-campus advocacy coach for the SMU Dedman School of Law.
