Partner Mary Barkley re-appointed to State Bar Committee

FORT WORTH, TX – Mary Hazelwood Barkley, a Partner with Cantey Hanger LLP, has been appointed for a second three-year term (2018-2021) to the Texas Bar Journal Board of Editors.

The Texas Bar Journal is the official publication of the State Bar of Texas, with a mailed circulation of 102,000 and the only legal publication reaching every attorney that is a member of the Bar.

The Texas Bar Journal contains legal articles, State Bar news, features on Texas lawyers, information on technology and trends in the law. The 20-person Board of Editors– attorneys who are appointed by the State Bar President – advises and assists the editor with matters of policy, content and substance. Board members also contribute articles, coordinate special issues and help identify authors.

The first issue of the Texas Bar Journal was printed in January 1938, 13 months before the State Bar came into formal existence.

Barkley graduated from Tulane University in 2002 and St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2005. She focuses her practice on Eminent Domain/Property Rights, Litigation and Appellate work.
