Cynthia Walker’s practice focuses on civil litigation and criminal defense. As a former felony prosecutor and criminal defense attorney, she brings 26 years of litigation experience to Cantey Hanger.

For the first 21 years of her career, she served as a prosecutor in the Collin County District Attorney’s Office. In January 2021, she moved to Ellis County and served as the First Assistant in the Ellis County and District Attorney’s Office. She has tried more than 200 jury trials, including several capital murder, child sexual abuse, and adult sexual assault cases. Many of her cases have been covered by local and national media, including NBC’s Dateline and CBS’s 48 Hours. Since January 2025, she has represented adults and juveniles charged with criminal offenses.
