FORT WORTH, TX – Cantey Hanger Partner Tawanna Lynn Cesare has been recognized as an “Extraordinary Woman” by Powerful Purses, Inc. for her contributions to the organization and its Scholarship Programs. Cesare serves on the Powerful Purses Archives & Executive Leadership Council, the Advisory Council and the Powerful Purses Scholarship Selection Committee.
Powerful Purses, Inc. is a charitable organization that represents the local commercial real estate industry. It provides opportunities to participate in philanthropic and educational endeavors that will advance women and give back to the community. The organization provides college level scholarships for the qualified birth mothers of the Gladney Center through its annual Powerful Purses Luncheon & Silent Auction.
Powerful Purses has three categories of recognitions — Extraordinary Woman, Trailblazer (male) and Rising Stars (female/male). The committee evaluates the nominee’s participation, representation of the core values of Powerful Purses and exceptional contributions. The highest standards of excellence and ethics must be exhibited by the recipient.
Cesare is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan School of Law, where she was named 2003 Outstanding Student of the Year. Her practice focus is Family Law. “I feel blessed to be part of such a great organization,” she said. “To be recognized for doing something you love is humbling.”
Other Extraordinary Women honorees were Joy Norton of Southwest Bank and Whitney Cardwell of Happy State Bank.
