The course being taught is called “Entrepreneurship Law Clinic” and is a pilot program that offers students the ability to work with student entrepreneurs on transactional matters in connection with the founding and/or development of a small business. Clinic students will focus exclusively on trademark clearance and acquisition of rights, and entity formation issues. The goal of the Clinic is to prepare students to be effective lawyers by working with real-life student clients. Students will engage in interviewing and counseling of clients related to trademark and entity formation issues, and will also make presentations on legal issues to the clients. In working with clients, students will be closely supervised by a licensed attorney.
