FORT WORTH, TX – Tawanna Lynn Cesare, an attorney with extensive experience in Family Law and commercial litigation, is returning to Cantey HangerLLP as a Partner in the Litigation Section.
Cesare began her legal career as an associate with Cantey Hanger from 2003-2007, following a summer clerkship. During that time, she focused on business and commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract disputes, construction litigation, trademark infringement, insurance defense, personal injury defense, public utility defense and worker’s compensation defense.
The past eight years, Cesare has been Of Counsel to Moses, Palmer & Howell, L.L.P, focusing on family law matters, including complex divorce and property settlement, partition agreements, domestic, interstate and international custody matters, adoptions, child support, grandparent’s rights, paternity, modifications and collaborative law; and commercial and business litigation defense.
She previously worked in the marketing department with real estate giant Jones Lang LaSalle in New Jersey and Arlington, TX.
Cesare graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and earned her Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan School of Law (now Texas A&M Law School). She was awarded the 2003 MacLean & Boulware “Outstanding Student of the Year” scholarship.
In the community, she is involved with the Greater Fort Worth Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, a Tarrant County Bar Board of Director during 2012-2013, Secretary and past Chair of the Board for Family Pathfinders, Inc. of Tarrant County and recognized by Texas Wesleyan’s Black Law Students Alumni chapter with the annual “Tawanna Cesare Leadership” scholarship award since 2006.
Three times she has been selected a Top Attorney in family law by Fort Worth Texas magazine and three times a Texas Rising Star by Texas Super Lawyers.
