Veteran Trial Lawyer Robert Aldrich Returns to Cantey Hanger

FORT WORTH, TX – After 22 years, veteran trial lawyer and Fort Worth native Robert E. Aldrich, Jr. has returned to the firm where he started, re-joining Cantey Hanger LLP as a Partner.

Aldrich is board certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has tried cases on both sides of the docket, which involve death, serious bodily injury, commercial fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and real estate disputes. He also represents individuals with substantial estates in divorce actions.

Jordan Parker, Chairman of the firm’s Litigation Section, said, “Robert’s experience and expertise are a real plus to our litigation practice. His diverse docket and his ability and desire to mentor younger lawyers will help our mission to grow the firm while we celebrate our 135th anniversary.”

Aldrich earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Texas Christian University in 1975 and his law degree from St. Mary’s University in 1978. After two years trying cases for the Tarrant County District Attorney’s office, Aldrich left for Cantey Hanger. He spent 11 years with the firm before forming Gardner Aldrich LLP with Terry Gardner.

Between 2006-2012, Aldrich was a board member or officer of the Tarrant County Bar Association and served as President during the 2011-2012 term. From 2012-2015, he was Director of District 7 for the State Bar of Texas.

Aldrich is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Foundation (charter member), Tarrant County Family Bar Association, Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates (Fort Worth Chapter President in 2015 and 2016), American Inns of Court (Emeritus) Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court, and a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. He has been named a “Super Lawyer” every year since 2003, the year of the award’s inception, and is listed in other “Best Lawyer” publications for his work as a trial lawyer.

Aldrich maintains a weather station at his lake house and webcasts real-time weather reports for Possum Kingdom Lake.
